The girls have been begging for days to climb this huge dirt hill in our backyard. We finally gave in and they loved it!

Kayla's last day of kindergarten

Kayla's best kindergarten buddy
Her wonderful teacher Mrs. Smiley. She was such a great teacher and so good with the kids. Kayla just loved her, me too!

All the kids wrote on paper hearts and wrote what they were going to miss about Mrs. Smiley. It was so adorable to see all the kids tape them to her.
Miss Becca was an aid in Kayla's classroom this year. She was also wonderful with the kids. Next year she'll be doing her student teaching and hopefully getting her teaching degree. Good luck Miss Becca!

Kayla is 6!!!!!

Kayla couldn't have been more excited to turn 6! She has been counting down for weeks to celebrate this big day. I decorated her door the night before with balloons and streamers and then Harley gave her a piggy back ride through them in the morning. She loved it!!
Donuts and strawberries, yum!
Looking so cute before school. She just had to wear this pin!
Doing a couple poses in her birthday outfit, what a natural!
She brought cupcakes to school and was so excited to sport her birthday hat.
Several of her classmates and Lydia
After school, Kayla chose to have lunch at McDonald's. She ordered
her first cheeseburger and loved it! I guess this means no more chicken nuggets.
Now onto IT'Z, the fun family arcade!
Bumper cars!

Sporting her new Barbie umbrella in the rain
Her special Barbie cake!

The big sister who's now 6!
Proud parents, our baby is now 6!
It was a great day! I just loved Kayla's excitement and enthusiasm throughout the day. The day was magic for her and it was so fun to watch. She is such a JOY and such a great kid!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day last year

Mother's Day this year
Wow, what a difference a year can make! I am so extremely thankful for my girls and of course my wonderful husband. I am constantly in awe of God's healing power and faithfulness and I am often brought to tears when I am reminded of it. I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year! The girls and Harley were so thoughtful and we spent the day at the park flying kites, playing on the playground and relaxing in the shade on a blanket. I had sweet memories of my own mom and I know without a doubt I'm the mother I am today because of her! I thank God all the time for giving me such an amazing mom who taught me through her own actions how to be a good wife, a follower of Christ, a mom, a servant and a friend. I was extremely blessed to have had her as my mom and I'm so thankful I had her for 32 years. I pray that I will live out her legacy in a way that makes her proud! Miss you terribly mom!

Thanks for the chalk Lori!

I really wasn't sure how to respond
when I looked outside and saw the
girls covered in chalk!!!!

Lydi did have a white skirt on.

The neighbor kids and my girls
had a great idea to color all over themselves

I kept a happy face on and took some pictures
but inside I am absolutely furious!

It's a good thing they're so cute!
The damage was done, I let them keep playing.

I may hide the chalk for awhile though :)
