I had so much fun making this cake!  

I always cross my fingers because I really don't know what I'm doing but I always pray it turns out.

I made 3 different colors of fondant using marshmallows. 

Watched a quick youtube video on how to make zebra stripes and then went to work creating!  

It's a lot like playing with play-do but for adults :) 

Malia was so funny, she wanted to keep blowing out her candles

 before the "happy birthday" song was done.  We relite the candle several times

 before Harley put his hand in front of her mouth.

Malia got a sand table for her birthday. 

Um, she wanted to push it around like it was car or something.  

We had so much fun celebrating Malia's life!
She is such a joy! A little pistal at times but always adorable!

A pre-birthday photo shoot with Momma.  

I needed to get a picture blown up for her little party.  

The skirt and the shoes were the inspiration to this outfit.  Malia received the skirt as a gift last year and I found these adorable shoes at Target.  Next I found zebra fabric at Hobby Lobby along with her head band and bow and then I went to work sewing the 2 on a onsie.  Super Cute!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter day as a family.

We spent it going to church, coming home and doing Easter baskets followed by yummy brunch, a relaxing afternoon and then another yummy dinner.  

The girls had so much fun hunting for Easter eggs.  

It was fun to see Malia just as into her Easter basket as the two older girls.  It didn't take her long to figure out how to open those eggs!  

These girls are so blessed to have such a wonderful daddy! I love this picture!

Sewing Projects

I brought back mom's sewing machine this summer and I've been having lots of fun with it!

I find myself feeling so close to her when I'm working in the basement after the kids have gone to bed.  I can picture her at her sewing machine with a pin in her mouth and her hands delicately working a piece of fabric. I'm not sure if she's looking down at me laughing or proud but I'm having fun!

This blanket is for my friend Jill's baby. Sweet, little Ferne
